Children's Crosswalk (K thru 5th Grade)
Welcome to Crosswalk! We have planned ahead for your family's visit. We're here to serve you and your children as you worship with us. Our goal is to supplement your efforts as you train up your children in the ways of God so they can live meaningful and victorious lives. We teach basic biblical truths in a child-targeted environment that includes puppets, drama, contemporary praise and worship and more. It is our desire to create teachable moments that will reach your child with the power of God and His Word.

Sports and Arts Camp 2010
July 19-23, 2010 (Closing Ceremony July 23rd 6PM)

This July your kids can … BE ACTIVE, BE CREATIVE, and LIVE “ROCK SOLID!”

Erie Christian Fellowship Church’s “Rock Solid” Sports & Arts Camp will be held July 19th through July 23rd from 9:00AM – 12:15PM. Our “Rock Solid" Camp is like no other Vacation Bible School (VBS) in the neighborhood! Not only will your children participate in sports and the arts, but they will also learn how to live “Rock Solid” for JESUS.

Each day’s devotion centers on one of the following themes: “Christ the Solid Rock”, “A Rock Solid Love”, “A Rock Solid Faith”, “A Rock Solid Plan”, and “A Rock Solid Guarantee.”

This year we’ve added two new sessions: Horseshoes/Volleyball and Hip-Hop Dance. Your child can also sign up to participate in Soccer, Basketball, Drama and Fine Arts. Registration includes a camp t-shirt, a CD of all our new songs, healthy snacks.

So why not register early and take advantage of our discounted rate? We’ve made registration easier for you. You can register online! Early registration ends June 21st, 2010.

Your Choice of ACTIVITES for 2nd-6th grade include...

SOCCER -- Each session will include a time of stretching, instruction, drills, and small-sided games. Shin guards, sneakers/cleats, and a ball are required.

FINE ARTS -- A variety of media will be used in this very hands-on approach to discovering the fine arts.

HORSESHOES/VOLLEYBALL -- 25 min. of throwing techniques, rules & scoring of the game of Horseshoes plus 25 min. of the basics of Volleyball will be taught. Sneakers, knee pads & volleyball are required.

DRAMA -- The basic elements of drama will be taught. Attendance is mandatory for the performance at closing ceremony.

BASKETBALL -- Each session will include a time of stretching, instruction, drills and games to allow full opportunity for participants to be involved. Sneakers and a ball are required.

DANCE (Hip-Hop) -- Learn the basics of Hip-Hop Dance to Christian music. Attendance is mandatory for the performance at closing ceremony.

K & 1st Grade Camp The children will participate in their own self-contained program. They DO NOT need to sign up for sessions on this registration form. No equipment is needed.

Closing Ceremony Friday, July 23rd 6PM Celebrate the finale of Rock Solid Sports and Arts Camp by watching our Drama and Dance Teams perform upstairs in the Park! Afterwards, check out your child’s artwork and then meander outside to observe your child’s learned skills in basketball, soccer, horseshoes or volleyball.

IN CONSIDERATION of the right to attend and participate in Erie Christian Fellowship’s Sports/Arts Camp, the parent/guardian of the above-identified child hereby:

Authorizes and gives the child permission to participate in the event;
Understands that the event will include: basketball, soccer, horseshoes, drama, volleyball, dance and art that includes physical activity and interaction with other children and the environment.
Acknowledges that there is an element of risk involved in any activity involving the above mentioned activities, and parent assumes all risk of and financial responsibility for any loss or injury to the participant or others that may occur as a result of the participant’s negligence or misconduct; and indemnifies and holds Erie Christian Fellowship harmless from and against any and all costs, claims, demands, charges, liabilities, obligations, judgments, executions, costs of suit and actual attorneys’ fees incurred or suffered by Erie Christian Fellowship as a result of, or arising out of, the participant’s negligence or misconduct; and
Authorizes Erie Christian Fellowship to obtain or authorize any reasonable incidental and/or emergency medical treatment for the participant in the event the participant’s parent(s)/guardian(s) are not readily located and participant becomes ill, injured or incapacitated; parent(s)/guardian(s) hereby accept the responsibility to pay for such treatment.

This Informed Consent and Acknowledgement of Risk may not be amended, supplemented or abrogated without the written consent of Erie Christian Fellowship.

Volunteering in Crosswalk is a wonderful way to serve our children! You can serve in the following areas: Administrator – Work behind the scenes preparing crafts and activities. Crosswalk Guard – Guard the Crosswalk Ministry Area during services. Adult Leader – Work directly with the children in the Nursery, 1’s and 2’s Toddler Avenue, 3-4-5 Jump Street or K-5 in the Park.
